Comparatives
Más + adjective + que = more ... than
e.g. Jessica es más seria que Lucy = Jessica is more serious than Lucy
Menos + adjective + que = less ... than
e.g. James es menos inteligente que Will = James is less intelligent that Will
Tan + adjective + como = as ... as
e.g. Jane es tan alto como Robert = Jane is as tall as Robert
Superlatives
Add el/la/los/las to the comparative más/menos.
e.g. Laura es la más guapa – Laura is the most beautiful; Son los menos rápidos – They are the least fast.
The Absolute Superlative
Add – ísimo/a/os/as to the adjective
e.g. El reloj es carísimo – The watch is extremely expensive; Muchísimas gracias –Thank you very much.
