The future describes what will happen.

It is formed by adding the following endings to the infinitive of the verb:

Example of AR verb   Example of ER/IR verb  
llegaré I shall/will arrive volveré I shall/will return
llegarás you will arrive volverás you will return
llegará he/she/it will arrive volverá he/she/it will return
llegaremos we shall/will arrive volveremos we shall/will return
llegaréis you (all) will arrive volveréis you (all) will return
llegarán they will arrive volverán they will return

There are a number of verbs which have an irregular stem.   These irregular stems are common to both the future and conditional tenses.

caber - to fit > cabrá - he will fit querer - to want > querrá - he will want
decir - to say, to tell > dirá - he will say/tell saber - to know > sabrá - he will know
haber (hay) > habrá - there will be salir - to go out > saldrá - he will go out
hacer - to do, to make > hará - he will do/make tener - to have > tendrá - he will have
poder - to be able > podrá - he will able valer - to be worth > valdrá - he will be worth
poner - to put > pondrá - he will put venir - to come > vendrá - he will come
